This book is created for the
teachers. It offers information on everything about bullying, including how to
recognize a child who being bullied in class. It shows methods that are used to
deal with the situation, as well as preventing such a vice from taking place in
future. Ways on how to deal with bullying in a manner that no new problems will
emerge are explained in detail.
My assessment:
This book is relevant as it offers exercises and strategies to be used by
adults when dealing with the issue. It fortifies my opinion that both children
and adults are needed to curb the vice.

This website offers shocking
statistics related to bullying like the number of school children affected, the
number of students who miss school due to repeat bullying, and the number of
students who have dropped out of school due to bullying.
This source is of great
significance to me as it highlights the plight of the Lesbian Gay Bisexual
Transsexual Group (LGBT) group.
My assessment:
This article offers statistical fact that will support my argument that
majority of American children are affected by bullying. It states that 83% of
girls and 79% of girls are affected by bullying.

Detailed analysis
as to why bullies behave in such a manner is provided. The author permeates
into the psychological condition of a bully in order to establish their reason
for that behavior. This resource is important as it breaks down the effects of
bullying such as depression, suicidal tendencies, and failing grades.
My assessment: My
assertion that bullying arises from a psychological disorder will be supported
by facts contained within this article. It addresses the manifestation of
aggression through bullying as an emotional problem that needs to be dealt
with.

Solutions are offered concerning
how to curb the bullying menace. This book outlines six steps that may be used
to turn around a bullying situation to a peaceful so-existence between students.
The author offers in-depth step-by-step approaches to be used when dealing with
bullying. The approaches offered include disciplinary effort, mediation, and
support group, strengthening the victim, restorative practice, and method of
shared concern.
My assessment: The
ideas contained in this book coincide with my argument that non-traditional
methods should be incorporated in eradicating bullying in schools. It analyzes
and examines the strength and weaknesses of each method, and offers alternative
ways to deal with bullying.
5. Swartz, L. (2013). Bully-go-round: a handbook of
literacy and arts strategies for promoting bully awareness in the classroom.

Bullying can be prevented, and the
students in class can be informed about the reasons for bullying and the
effects on both the victim and the perpetrator. This book shows is vital to
this research as it shows exactly how to eradicate bullying. It utilizes Art as

My assessment: It
recognizes the evolving forms of bullying to include cyber bullying and firmly
supports my theory that bullying has evolved from a confrontational aspect
where the perpetrator is known, to a sphere where the victimizer is unknown.
