museums are often tied by their public role to 'representing the interests' of audiences. why then is this role so often seen as problematic?

Museums are mainly aimed at providing people with information that was there in the past. They also preserve historical details of the things that no longer exist. There are problems that are facing them.

1.With the digital period that the world is in museums need to be digital also.

The museums that cannot be viewed online experience a lot of problems as many people do not get to know about them. The ones that are online are the ones that have a greater viewership.

2. There are museums that have fake things that are displayed in them. It is the role of the registrars and directors to report so that they can be changed to help attract more people in the industry. People pay for quality things and once they suspect they are fake they stop visiting the museum hence lowering the profit of the museum. 

3. Some lack enough storage making it had to store many historical things that people want to access. This happens especially for those that are operating online.

4. Some stores may lack good preservation methods which make some of the historic things to become extinct especially those that are preserved as material things not in form of pictures.

5. The space in some museums is full of the historical things which makes it had for many people to view hence people get in in different turns. The instructors may also get tired because of the overwhelming numbers hence the information given may not be the best.

Representing the interests of audiences many of the times becomes a major problem which museums face. It may be a problem due to the following factors.

1. Some of the things that the audiences may want to view may not be found in some museums.
2. The museums may be charging a lot of money to the audiences which some of them may not afford.
3. often, when people visit museums, they may ask a lot  of questions some of which may be difficult for the museum staff to give correct answer
4. During some peak periods like the holidays, many people flock in the museums, which may be a major problem since they cannot be accommodated all.
5. some countries have very few museums compared to their high populations.
