What are the drawbacks of RAD model?

Though RAD model is highly advantageous in creating a prototype of the actual system in a much earlier stage,' the RAD model has considerable drawbacks as well The drawbacks of RAD model are
- RAD model has a risk of never achieving the project closure
This is because, the end users might specify enhancements
endlessly by looking at the prototypes

- Because of RAD model,' the System has high probable chances
of overrunning schedule and cost
- RAD model can be used only if the system can be modularized
- Both Users as well as Developers have to commit themselves
to rapid fire activities within a short time frame
- Require sufficient number of Human Resources to create enough number of teams.

-Developers and Customers are not committed, system result in failure.
- Not Properly Modularized building component may Problematic.
-Not applicable when there is more possibility for Technical Risk.
