Mexico and U.S border wall

Mexico and U.S border wall

Introduction
The busiest land boarder in the world is the border between the United States and Mexico is the busiest land border in the world. It covers more than 1950 miles from Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico and it is one of the longest (Dear, 2013)

President Donald trump of the United States of America emphasizes that the boarder wall between the United States of America and Mexico should be built even though the Mexicans are against it due to the following reasons. The wall is not the same as a fence. A boarder of nearly 2000 miles long is shared between Mexico and the United States. Secondly is an act as a reminder on how the Mexicans lost half of their land to the United States of America. Thirdly, it will be a way of making the Mexicans to work in the US and finally it is an implication that Mexicans has gained from the trade agreements (Dear, 2013). The wall has to be built during President Donald trump reign.
The construction cost of the wall will be catered for by the Mexico state as per the emphasis of President Donald Trump even though the Mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto resists catering for it. The United States President Donald Trump estimates that the total construction cost of the wall will be approximately between $10bn and $12bn even though the checkers and engineers estimates that the cost of construction might be a bit higher. The senate majority leader made estimations that the cost might be between $12-15bn. The fencing miles cost the government more than $7bn.The price might be higher than the Trumps price tag  since the wall is to be extended up to mountainous areas and remote areas thus raising the construction costs substantially. The 1000 miles will definitely interfere with the private land, which will be purchased either through legal force. Other estimates show that the wall will cost about $25bn to be constructed. The US taxpayers are the ones who are supposed to cover the initial construction costs. There are also ways in which money will be recouped from Mexico to facilitate the construction of the wall. The ways include the following. Tariffs being raised on imports, remittances, tax levying and increase fees when crossing the border as well as the travel visa fee.
It was first claimed that Mexico will pay for Trumps Planned border wall later but the republican officials indicated that it is the US tax payers who was to pay the bill of construction.
The plan for taxpayers to advance the cash could be seen as a broken promise by some of Trump’s most ardent supporters. The wall, and promises to make Mexico pay, has repeatedly been criticized as unrealistic and damaging to relations. The president elect was excluded through the way in which Mexico was to be forced to pay for the wall. The act of the Mexican rejecting to pay for the wall remains stalwart. The idea of asking the Mexican to pay Americans back was not new thing.
Mexico resisted paying the construction cost for the border wall because of the following reasons:
A fence is not the same as a wall. The wall is shared by the two states. The older wall was constructed from military surplus metal handling cuts that made it easy to cat through as well as climbing easily over it. Due to this the Mexicans are not willing to pay any construction of a wall. The border patrol agent always prefers the new fencing.
The border reminds Mexicans that they lost half of their state to the U.S. The Americans are unaware that a large portion of their land belonged to Mexico. The Mexicans are currently afraid the construction of the border wall will contribute to loss of their land and this makes them to resist paying the construction cost.
It's a slap in the face to Mexicans working in the U.S.
It will be unfair for the Mexicans to work in the U.S. The Mexicans are against the border because it will make them to be used in provision of labor as well knowledge and skills.
The border indicates that only Mexico has benefited from trade agreements. They resist construction of the border because the U.S citizens will come into Mexico thus interfering with their cultures values.
Conclusion
To Mexicans, however, Trump's border wall implies the United States has not benefited from NAFTA, said Lopez, who now runs a consulting firm, Interested Partners that helps American businesses invest in Mexico and vice versa. In reality, 14 million jobs in the United States are tied to trade, commerce and investment with Mexico, including about 110,000 jobs in Arizona, he said.(casey and wakins,2014)
