She also made Odysseus look like an old beggar for disguise, and helped him save Ithaca. The main point is that Athena shaped Odysseus' voyage. Without her, Odysseus probably would have still been at Calypso's island, gotten lost, given up, or something else would have kept him from proceeding his journey home. In conclusion, the role of women in Odysseus' story was important. The three women had created a powerful cause in the meaning of Odysseus' every step. Together they shaped his entire journey. Though the women didn't seem like they played a big part in the story, if you look deeper and analyze the causes, you will see that the women make most major reasons for situations to evoke.
