History of salvation

History of salvation is mentioned in both the books of acts and Luke. Both books have a common assumption that the heavenly father works out salvation within specific part of the world history. Both books mention Micah. Micah reminds the faithful followers of God about the certain events in the Israels history. The history of salvation starts with creation and the fall of man into sinful ways. It will end with the end of the world and return of Jesus Christ.  The events recorded in the book of Luke are Gods plan for redemption and history of revelation. These events depict the work of God in both the space and time of earth. Jesus is depicted in both books as the symbol of salvation (Study Light.org, 2010).
Luke relates the salvation Jesus brought to the earth with various prophetic readings of Old Testament. The book of Acts also mentions various books in Old Testament when it comes to the issue of salvation. Both books are attributed to the same author, Luke
. The book of Luke starts with the birth of Jesus and ends with his death. Jesus represents the salvation of the world. The book of Acts starts with the early church and ends with Paul preaching gospel in Rome. Therefore, the book of Acts acts as a bridge for the continuation of history of gospel. Jesus starts the mission of salvation but along the way, Paul takes over and continues. Jesus and church cannot be separated. When Saul was on his way to Damascus to persecute the early Church, he was struck by a strong light, which was accompanied by the voice of Jesus (Grace Institute for Bible Leadership, 2008). Jesus asked Saul why he was persecuting him. Both books stress that Jesus should be linked to church. This is because he brought salvation to the people. Saved people should go to church to get more of Jesus.
Conclusion
The theme gives contemporary readers of the bible a chance to trace the beginning salvation. They are able to learn about relationship between Christ and his church. Luke refers to Old Testament when explaining the history of gospel. The history of salvation starts with creation and the fall of man into sinful ways and it will end with the end of the world and return of Jesus Christ.
