How does neoliberalism echo the ideas of Adam Smith

How does neoliberalism echo the ideas of Adam Smith?  Of the Orthodox economists discussed by Kaufman?  Are there major differences between neoliberalism and these earlier schools of economics?

How does neoliberalism echo the ideas of Adam Smith- the notion of neo liberalism lays out that government intervention in economics of a country does not serve for the betterment of it, for an economy to grow in an healthy manner, free market with no government intervention
provides for the chance of market forces to set their own prices. With market forces and price responding to these forces competition driven growth is achieved which fosters for true value of goods and services and ensures greater wealth for all citizens, this serves to exploit new markets and opportunities and serves as overall wealth for a nation. Neoliberalism stands for a justified individual freedom and responsibility in fostering economic freedom.

Of the orthodox economists discussed by Kaufman there exists major differences between neoliberalism and these earlier school of economics. Despite the fact that these theorists argue that product demand is a reason for segmentation, the level of technology involved is given an upper hand in the economic dynamics. These theorists argued that institutionalized theorists should use reforms in accessing the welfare and impact of a free market and policy discussions. Ideology of neoliberalism was treasured as the economic orthodoxy of the world as undemocratic as an economic plan which was poked with neoliberal philosophy such as trade liberalization, privatization, financial sector deregulation and tax cuts for the wealthy.
