With the free school education in place in kenya, it emerged that a high number of turkana county children did not go to school for lack of food. A group of students from this region resolved to support a food program through a donation page that would offer free essay resources to university students. Touched with this story, we ask for your support to show that poor turkana child that we care for their education and a better future

HIV/AIDS prevention program
Cover letter
The grant project that we would like to talk about is on HIV/AIDS prevention program which actually aims at empowering the community and also coming up with various preventive programs to deal with this killer virus in this target population. This is a very great problem majorly happening globally and targeting one community will give examples and spread this initiative to other communities and non-governmental institutions to help the locals deal with this disease. It will involve the needs statement to discuss the community problem and also have the time to address data that really supports the problem. The mission statement has to be stated clearly and make sure that
the community needs are provided for this project to be successful (Tornquist & Funk, 1990).
In the grant proposal, the goal statement and the objectives that relate to the identified problem have to be laid in place and also the program goal has to be attained. The methods to organize the preventive strategies to make the budget will actually determine how the funders will embrace this project and make initiatives to support it. This project will actually relate to the funder’s priorities and be a very successful initiative to do. The methods have to be well defined in order to be successful (Tornquist & Funk, 1990).
The Needs Statement
One of the community problems that my organization would really want to talk about in our program is all about the HIV/AIDS prevention program. As a grant proposal writer for my non-governmental organization, it is very much evident that this menace is a great problem and it actually affects almost all the populations globally. For this community based organization, I would like to apply for a HIV funding program. This community problem affects many people and leaves many orphans who do not have the opportunity to enjoy their parental care and also have the chance and funding to go to school. This problem actually exists in this community and my organization would like to fund all the preventive programs which have to be strategically laid in place in order to curb this problem.
The non-profit program that will address the community need has to lay down all processes and strategies to deal with this problem and also be in a position to provide incentives and drugs to help manage this situation. The target population is the adults who have to be taught on the ways to prevent this killer disease. The prevention program has to provide information and technical assistance to local governments and local people and therefore it is very much necessary to release a request for proposals which will benefit all the community (Magolda, 1999).
We have to create enough time for preparing the proposals and consider whether the grant is right for this non-governmental organization and also look at how this particular organization has the capacity to administer the funds that it is applying for. We also have to collaborate with other organizations and write a letter of intent that describes the project and gives potential funders the opportunity to decide whether they are interested enough in a project to request the full proposal (Gerin, Kapelewski, Itinger & Spruill, 2010).
Goal statement and objectives
The goal statement of this project is to develop HIV/AIDs prevention programs to deal with this killer disease and also to inform the community on the various prevention strategies which actually deal with this. The objectives which are designed to attain the program goal are to create a HIV free society and to promote good health in the community. This program is designed to help the locals have a healthier living and also get involved community programs that promote health. The target population is believed to be all people living in the community and also we anticipate decreasing if not to totally eradicate this killer disease. As the non-governmental organization, we have to make sure that all these programs are met and the progress made towards achieving these goals has to be very much successful (Holbrook, 2010).
In this project, this organization has to make sure that each objective is met and that all he programs are laid in place to actually deal with this. Creating a HIV society will be very much successful for fulfilling these activities and then it would also be possible after all to promote good health in the community. All these objectives have to be met in order to have a very much successful initiative. The activities which will be conducted include coming up with initiative and groups that teach the community and using the statistics to demonstrate HIV risk. We also have to determine the demonstrating risk when limited data exist on the target population.
When writing the proposal grant, we will have to look at what funders look for in the problems and a proposed program will have to address a real and compelling need. This program has to make some big difference to the community and we have to make sure that this program targets a population that is demonstrably at higher risk of HIV/AIDS. Having a clearly defined target population and having a clear understanding of the risk behaviors ad the needs of the target population. My goals relate to the needs of the community hence the objectives of this community-based organization will be very much successful (Holbrook, 2010).

This particular budget will help fund the project in this community to actually develop the preventive programs to deal with HIV/AIDS and also have access to some facilities which will promote the good health in this community. Most non-governmental organizations have been very much successful in meeting all the community needs by funding them in all things (Fisher & Fisher, 1992).
