The poor in my community are oppressed and manipulated by the haves since they have fewer or no resources. The less fortunate do not go to schools and if they do they attend schools of very low quality. They have no opinion, live under housing on less productive land, and they have the worst sanitation. They barely interact with the rich, and this makes personal growth difficult for them.
Using the limited available resources with the aim of conservation creates an identity though tourism in my society. People of my community join and fight against deforestation. Forests are homes for animals and birds, and this are a tourist attraction. Culture is also a crucial factor of how people have identified themselves with tourism. People of my society are widely known for basket weaving and tourists travel from far for these baskets. Travelling makes people identify themselves with other communities and learn more about their dos and don’ts. People carry themselves excellently because they are ambassadors of their community in the new area. Nobody wants to have a bad reputation. They can construct identities with others through communication and sharing of the information about their societies to avoid disrespecting each other. Creating friendships and sharing bonds are essential in life. No man is an island.
